Working with partners in an emergency
The response to most large scale emergencies involves more than one organisation. It is important that multi agency partners work together to provide a coordinated and effective response to emergencies.
Gwent Local Resilience Forum
Based on the Gwent Police area, the Gwent Local Resilience Forum brings together all multi agency partners that have duties under Civil Contingencies Act 2004. As a multi agency group we produce joint plans and procedures enabling us to respond to incidents seamless manner. The training and exercising we do together reinforces our understanding of each other’s roles and responsibilities. You will find more information on the Gwent Prepared website.
Community Risk Register
The UK Government publishes the National Risk Register which assesses the hazards and risks that could affect the United Kingdom.
Locally, before we put plans and procedures in place, we also need to identify the potential risks that may affect the communities of Gwent and understand what their consequences might be.
The Gwent Community Risk Register is published to inform our communities of the range of emergencies that could occur and what is being done to address them. The Community Risk Register can be downloaded and viewed in more detail.
